Super Food Spinach and Mushroom Stir-Fry Healthy Recipe Asian Cooking Touch





Ingredients:

  • 300 grams fresh spinach, washed and chopped
  • 200 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds, toasted (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Preparing the Vegetables:

  • Thoroughly wash and drain the spinach. Chop it roughly if the leaves are large.
  • Slice the mushrooms and thinly slice the onion.

2. Stir-Frying the Ingredients:

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the sliced onions and cook until they become translucent.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and stir-fry until they are tender and have released their moisture.

3. Adding the Spinach and Seasoning:

  • Add the chopped spinach to the pan. Stir-fry quickly to coat the spinach with the other ingredients.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the spinach is wilted and tender.

4. Serving:

  • Transfer the stir-fried spinach and mushrooms to a serving dish.
  • Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
  • Serve hot as a side dish with rice or noodles.

Tips:

  • For added flavor, you can include a small amount of grated ginger along with the garlic.
  • To make the dish more substantial, add sliced bell peppers or tofu during the stir-frying process.
