Tasty Classic Vanilla Cake Recipe

 



Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 4 eggs

- 1 cup milk

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

 

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

3. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

4. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

5. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from the pans and cool completely on a wire rack before frosting.
